Project Background
About
Days for Girls is an organization dedicated to providing reusable feminine products to women across the world. They work across the globe to create DFG (Days for Girls) Kits. These kits include a drawstring bag, two underwear, two shields, eight liners, soap, washcloth, instructions, and a transport bag. Each component is crucial for these girls and women on their period.
Mission
We're turning periods into pathways. Days for Girls increases access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating social enterprises, mobilizing volunteers, and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigmas and limitations for women and girls. Together, we're creating a world with dignity, health, and opportunity for all.”

Community
Women and girls across the globe of all shapes, sizes, ages, races, and ethnicities are part of this community. The movement for women comes from everyone, but the fight is from women and girls to create a nonlimiting path to equality.

Capstone Project
I worked alongside Jody White, head of videography and second in command, and Susan Price, the director of the Days for Girls Farmington/Livonia branch, to upgrade their social media image. I spent most of my time on the development of the website to incorporate a user-friendly format with a blog, image and video gallery, and links to the social media pages (Instagram and Facebook). I utilized Wix to create the website and Business Suite to manage Facebook and Instagram simultaneously. In addition to the online maintenance, I volunteered at the Days for Girls at the His Church Anglican on two different occasions. On the first day, I worked to organize and prepare for a packing day. The second time I volunteered was during the packing day and I worked both shifts.
